With a new era of federal governance upon us, what is the role of states and cities in advancing placemaking and inclusionary economic growth? This session will address the impact of the new federal administration on states and cities looking to advance place-based economic and redevelopment activities, and will explore what states and cities can do on their own to make progress. It will provide an overview from the national perspective of what some of the threats and opportunities might be, and then will discuss ways states can still get things done, regardless of the federal political landscape.
